From the Pink Icons Series
Inspired by my love of classic cinema, this series pays tribute to the glamorous icons of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s—bold, beautiful, and unapologetically themselves.
Wildly feminine and effortlessly rebellious, Blushing Brigitte captures the spirit of Brigitte Bardot — the original bombshell who redefined beauty and owned her sensuality with fearless freedom. Set against a rich blend of candy pinks, fuchsia, and pops of citrusy lime, this portrait radiates the playful tension between innocence and allure. Bardot wasn’t just a muse — she was a movement. This piece is a tribute to her unapologetic femininity, untamed heart, and the kind of beauty that doesn’t ask for permission.
My process involves collage, textured pasts, inks and gold foil for abstract background. Then charcoal, acrylics and finished off with oils for depth and gloss.
