Artwork Description

From the Pink Icons Series - Inspired by my love of classic cinema, this series pays tribute to the glamorous icons of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s—bold, beautiful, and unapologetically themselves.

Fierce. Feminine. Unforgettable.
Cerise Sophia honours the sultry strength of Sophia Loren — a woman who captivated the world not just with her beauty, but with her fire, wit, and unapologetic confidence.

Bathed in fiery pinks, rich cerise, and warm metallic textures, this portrait channels Sophia’s bold spirit and Italian glamour. Adorned in jewels and framed by passionate brushstrokes, she stands as a timeless muse — fearless, full of life, and always in command of the room.

My process involves collage, textured pasts, inks and gold foil for abstract background. Then charcoal, acrylics and finished off with oils for depth and gloss.

All originals come with Certificate of Authenticity

Artist Bio

Lynette Mary Skeers is a modern romantic artist based in the Fraser Coast region of Queensland, Australia, working in mixed media and oils. Her paintings bring together figurative imagery, landscape, colour and symbolism to explore feminine strength, light, emotion and the quiet connection between the inner world and nature.

Originally from Newcastle and shaped by a lifelong love of dance and creativity, Lynette returned seriously to painting after raising her family. In 2024, she committed fully to her professional practice. She is a graduate of Milan Art Institute and has undertaken further mentorship with celebrated Australian artist Donald James Waters OAM.

Working from her Fraser Coast studio, Lynette builds her paintings with collage, texture, acrylic, inks and oils. Her work ranges from romantic portraits and symbolic reflections to contemplative landscapes and wildlife. Across each collection, she seeks to create beauty with meaning, inviting the viewer to pause, feel and find their own story within the work.
