Artwork Description

Inspired by the serene colours of the ocean as seen from the beach, "Beach Hues" captures the gentle blending of blues, greens, and yellows as the water meets the beach. Creating a calm and peaceful palette that evokes the soothing essence of the sea.
I’ve used acrylic paints on wood panel canvas to blend the colours, with some of the wood panel showing to represent the beach. This painting is designed to bring the tranquil feeling of a beachside retreat into your space, with colours that invite relaxation and a sense of calm. As you gaze at the piece, you can almost feel the refreshing sea breeze and hear the soft rhythm of the waves, bringing a sense of peace and connection to nature.

Artist Bio

I’m Lynette Tyrrell, an artist who loves painting the ocean, inspired by the beautiful beaches of Byron Bay. The beach has always been a special place for me—a space to unwind, spend time with family, or take a peaceful walk in the early morning or late afternoon.

Through my paintings, I aim to capture the calming sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the feeling of letting go of the everyday stresses. My goal is to brighten your day, lift your spirits, and provide a sense of peace through the beauty of the ocean.

Working with acrylic paints on wood panel or canvas, I enjoy blending colours to capture the flow and movement of the water - with blues and vibrant greens. The process of blending these colours gives me the freedom to bring the water to life in a natural way to create the flow of the water and the waves. Helping you create that beachy feeling at home.
