During COVID I went to a gem show and purchased stones that appealed to me and set about painting them which took many, many hours. I have painted stones before that I have collected on overseas trips and love the appearance and stories behind them. They certainly brighten up my sunroom.
Lynette has been interested in art from a young age. Her favorite medium is oil, but she also uses pastel and egg tempura. Her artistic style is mostly realism and her subject matter is eclectic. Lynette spent six years studying iconography under two teachers, both in the Russian style and the Greek style. She has exhibited and sold works over the years, her most exciting challenge being to paint Judith Durham of Seekers fame for the Archibald Prize in the early 2000s. Judith kept the painting which still hangs in her offices today.
