Misty Trees and Blue Lake, Nimmitabel

Misty Trees and Blue Lake was inspired by a favourite secret valley in Nimmitabel where a huge dam provides for a beautiful environment of European trees. These trees were bare in the sparkling cold while I made drawings with frozen fingers. The morning frost was rising with the sun. This painting was developed back in my studio from these drawings and memories.
The work is initialled on the front and signed on the back.

She has a BA (Visual) from the Australian National University (ANU), a Postgrad Bachelor of Teaching, Western Sydney University, and a Master of Philosophy (Visual Art) ANU. She has exhibited her work widely through her involvement in residencies, solo and group exhibitions at both regional and commercial galleries in Australia and abroad. Her work is held in public and private collections in Australia and internationally including the Australian National Gallery, Canberra, Goulburn Regional Art Gallery, Ballinglen Art Foundation, Ireland and many others.

Lynne Flemons has been awarded numerous art residencies in Australia and Europe, including at the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery in Tasmania, Ballinglen Art Foundation, Ireland and Serlachius Museum, Finland.
