Schism is a painting which reflects my inquiry into the duality of human nature.
In order to describe this aspect, I depict the subject in two really particular moments, I also used two different mediums, some gentle watercolour washes in contraposition of hard charcoal marks. The general image remains open in movement, without a finished background, timeless. I tried to create a situation in which the paint can be itself, which means letting go of any rationalization to draw out the personalities of my subjects.
