Window box II

Window boxes are always a favourite. I notice everything beautiful in the background, while watching a movie or any tour photographs. I admire the vintage look and ambience of countryside especially if it has that fairytale touch. I am a dreamer.

This acrylic art is done on a stretched, studio canvas which can be hung without a frame or a wire.

I am Maria George, a self taught artist from Adelaide, South Australia. My pseudonym is Maria Mappilassery.

I am an aesthetic and emotive person who expresses thoughts and emotions through painting and poetry. You may notice that most of my creations are based on nature because of my admiration for its pure beauty.
I have understood that no matter where we go, nature is abundant and a great teacher if we learn to observe.

I have always admired oil paints for their long life and special charm but I am currently working with an acrylic medium and want to eventually experiment with different styles. I believe each medium has its own specialty that helps the artist produce unique results.
