Artwork Description

This is the very first painting that I completed in isolation.

The main concept behind this was a door which is abstractly central to the painting.
This door for me signifies time spent in isolation, on my own with nowhere and no one to turn to. The feeling of not being able to free myself, to be stuck and desolate.

This painting resonates with my deep sorrow and unworthiness I felt at a time of unhelpful choices and actions. A time where I did feel trapped, especially internally. My soul felt damaged, defective, drained and I could not find any absolution.

I had limited resources to create this; all that was used was Red Acrylic, Black Acrylic, glue I made, a worn kitchen sponge, a paint brush that was gifted to me and water.

Artist Bio

Let's keep this basic.

As every individual has experienced trauma, hardship, torment and uncertainty in their lives, as have I.

In these moments of isolation, self-reflection and uncertainty... this is where I have found my creative passion
and artistic resourcefulness.

I want to share what I have created and continue to create.
Each artwork has its own personal narrative and a self-experienced perspective which I will share open heartedly.

I have learnt that art is healing, art is your inner soul presenting itself, art is the genuine understanding of what your emotions want you to create.
Art is love, art is happiness, art is meditation, art is deep sorrow... art is originality.

In today's modern society riddled with technology, creativity for me is a guiding light for individuality.
Who actually wants to be the same as everyone else? Not I!

Enjoy!
