Charmaine Macdonald grew up in country Victoria.
She followed her interest in technology and mathematics, gaining a Computer Science degree from the University of Melbourne in 1996. This was followed by over twenty years in the corporate world.
In recent years Charmaine has pursued study and a practice in the visual arts. She is currently focusing on the themes of obsolescence and the ownership of public and private space.
She has exhibited within Australia, selling work locally and internationally.
Charmaine lives in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with her husband, her son, two cats and a somewhat variable number of fish.
