Property & Murmuration- 2/5 Ed. 2 of 5

This is a piece from my Focus series. These works consider how we are spending our time and attention, by examining day to day life, the suburban home and natural phenomena. They question what we are paying attention to, what we are missing and if we still have the capacity to look at the bigger picture.

The work has been created using multiple drypoint etching plates using black and light blue inks, with a focus on strong lines and composition.

The printed area measures 41 cm wide by 31 cm high.
The paper measures 50 cm wide by 35 cm high.

This is a limited edition hand-made print with only 5 prints in the edition.

Charmaine Macdonald grew up in country Victoria.

She followed her interest in technology and mathematics, gaining a Computer Science degree from the University of Melbourne in 1996. This was followed by over twenty years in the corporate world.

In recent years Charmaine has pursued study and a practice in the visual arts. She is currently focusing on the themes of obsolescence and the ownership of public and private space.

She has exhibited within Australia, selling work locally and internationally.

Charmaine lives in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with her husband, her son, two cats and a somewhat variable number of fish.
