From River to Reef

From River to Reef is inspired by the flow of water from inland outwards, and what the water itself holds: coral, fish, flotsam, and flora. The flowing lines represent the pull of the current and the eddies that form across the submerged structures of reef and rock. Though abstracted, the painting is representative of an aerial view of a reef or riverbed, and speaks to the inherent beauty and magic in our natural landscapes.

Hi, I’m Maddie, a full-time Melbournian with a penchant for painting and a passion for storytelling.

I’ve been illustrating since I was 14, designing graphics since I was 15, and painting abstracts since I was 26 (this is going to sound a lot more impressive in ten years, I promise).

Since my first abstract earlier this year, I've fallen in love with the craft, and am super excited to share it with you.
