Rust and Rain

Inspired by the earth beneath our feet, Rust and Rain is inspired by the natural layers of sediment and rock in the earth, and the rivulets of water that run between them. The rust hues of the painting are reminiscent of red Australian soil, the vibrant blue features alluding to water and the azure sky on a summer's day.

Hi, I’m Maddie, a full-time Melbournian with a penchant for painting and a passion for storytelling.

I’ve been illustrating since I was 14, designing graphics since I was 15, and painting abstracts since I was 26 (this is going to sound a lot more impressive in ten years, I promise).

Since my first abstract earlier this year, I've fallen in love with the craft, and am super excited to share it with you.
