‘Earth and Fire is part of my Botanicals series, inspired by the rich colours of Australian native trees. This piece invites the viewer to immerse themselves in a sense of earthy, Australiana charm, conveyed through abstract forms and natural, layered hues.
I've pushed the texture further in this work to create a subtle, mirage-like effect that shifts with the light. It can be hung vertically or horizontally, and I’ve photographed it in both indoor and outdoor settings to highlight how its colours and tones vary beautifully depending on the lighting.
