Part of my Colourwave series, Sugar Pop is a soft, playful exploration of creamy pastels — think blush pinks, pale mint, buttery yellows, and hints of lavender melting into one another like a dream. The piece captures the lightness of a fleeting moment: the sweetness of spring air, the joy of simplicity, the delicacy of colour when it’s barely there.
There’s a subtle rhythm in this work — a gentle drift of tone and texture, evoking the crispness of a sugar snap pea and the soft glow of sunlit afternoons. It’s both nostalgic and fresh, created to invite pause, pleasure, and presence.
