The Fern Room

The Fern Room forms part of my Colourwave Series, this deep green, green edition captures the quiet pull of the forest.

Inspired by the layered stillness of forest canopies and the shifting play of light through leaves, it invites the viewer into a grounded calm. Like stepping into a hidden grove, time softens, air thickens, and every sense slows. The palette recalls the whisper of moss, the shimmer of dew, the hush of tall trees.

Rooted in my love of colour, this series translates emotion into atmosphere. On a large scale, the work surrounds the viewer—offering a moment of reflection, an echo of the forest’s timeless call.

Hello! I'm Madeline, an abstract artist based in Melbourne. I am captivated by the interplay of colour and texture, and find myself constantly experimenting with how to integrate them. I draw textural inspiration from the natural world, everyday life and the masters of colour, texture, and abstraction. I leave interpretation up to the eye of the viewer.
