Is there anything better than walking on the beach just as the sun is going down? The sun low in the sky, tinting everything a soft pink, the waves softly crashing over your feet as you walk in the shallow water...absolute bliss.
A new colour story for this series of abstract beachscapes and landscapes.
I've given myself the freedom to play and experiment in the studio and this has been an intensely satisfying excercise and a fresh new direction for my art. The interesting thing is that I am using the same tools, paint and colours with the results being so different yet still very familiar to my original style. These artworks are created with thick layers of paint and a palette knife.
