Maggie Moy is a mixed media abstract artist. Her colourful and vibrant expressive abstracts are worked up over many weeks with multiple layers of acrylic paint, pastel and ink.
Her inspiration comes from the colours she finds in nature, pieces of detritus, landscapes, and rusting objects. Her paintings are never planned they evolve through the many layers until there is a balance between, shape, movement and calm.
Moy was awarded a Bachelor of Visual Art (Honours) from Adelaide Central School of Art in 2014 where she was selected to exhibit in the National Graduate Exhibition 'Pica', at the Western Australian Contempary Galley in Perth. Only a handful of graduates from around Australia are selected to exhibit in this prestigious award exhibition.
She has been exhibiting regularly since graduating and her abstracts have been collected by interstate and international collectors.
