Gentle Isolation

Memories of a long ago walk across isolated sand dunes on a hot Australian summer day.
This is a piece that would look equally great on the wall in a beach house, or hanging in a family room or study.
I used both brushes to create the soft washes and a palette knife to create the sharper lines.

I am a lifelong chaser of information and dabbler in all things creative.

I love the buzz of learning new things and new ways of creating effects on canvas. I love even more the idea of passing on that knowledge to anyone who wishes to have it. I have a degree in Education and Diplomas in Hair, Beauty, Clinical Aromatherapy, Colour Therapy and Art Therapy.

Having worked in the Education sector for 25 years in both the Secondary and Tertiary areas, I retired, and, having painted since I was a child, (some 70 odd years), I now paint to save my sanity. I run a small business, creating acrylic works of art, and making Aromatherapeutic products for private clients.

I have sold quite a few pieces of my art. I don’t think I have a particular style – you can decide that for yourself!
