Patricia’s art journey began in Buenos Aires, Argentina many years ago. She attended private art classes with different artists and from the first moment she knew she would never stop painting. When she moved to Sydney in 2004, she continued private art classes and immediately began exhibiting in group shows and local exhibitions but always alongside her language and culture teaching position at one of the main universities in Sydney.
She loves the landscape of Australia and some of her paintings are born from the inspiration she gets during her daily walks around her neighbourhood on the North Shore. In these natural surroundings, she is captured by the energy of trees and the ever-changing flora. Her images capture the experience of these spaces with a deep ethereal feeling.
She is constantly experimenting and likes to build her paintings in layers, enjoying mark-making, and the use of different materials like acrylics, inks, crayons, charcoal, pencils, and on some occasions collage pieces. Her expressive paintings offer a personal journey to the art lover, who will have their own unique reaction contemplating them.
