Mai was born in Hanoi and migrated to Australia in 2004. Since a child, she revealed a great love of art and attended painting classes every summer school holidays. She then pursued Architecture and during that time she kept on exploring fine art at university. After graduation, she continued her career in architecture but always yearning to hold brush again. She recently restarted painting and found great peace and pleasure through the painting process. It is through the canvas that she can reflect her view about the dynamic world and human being nature. She also loves to capture the changing moods of seasons. She is greatly influenced by nature , whom she believes is a great teacher and can never be wrong.
