After seeing a picture of an Arctic Snow Hotel in Rovaniemi, Finland, my creative mind went into overdrive and this is the result. I really liked the idea of crossing the ice motif with the hallowed iconography of religion which gives this piece a cleansing feeling of purity.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
Hi there people, my name is MAMIKO, thank you for stopping by. I'm a Japanese artist living in Australia and I enjoy creating unusual pieces with a range of different materials like paint, make-up, toothpaste, whatever I feel can bring my vision to life. When I was younger I used to paint message boards for my friends instead of giving them cards which spawned a yearning to create bigger, more elaborate pieces. I exhibited for many years in Japan under the name Angelica Lux, a carry-over from the Spanish influence that dominated my early works, however since moving here to Australia I want to represent my heritage so I now paint under my Japanese name. I have lived in a few different countries and travel extensively, taking inspiration from the cultures I visit.
