I am Amanda, I grew up in Papua New Guinea where my Dad was a Pilot and Mum was an artefact dealer. After I left school in Sydney I studied Graphic Design and worked as a designer while I travelled the world. While living in London I took up painting as a hobby and had a couple of exhibitions, which were a lot of fun more than anything else. I moved back to Sydney in 2005 continuing with both design and painting until I met my husband in 2010 and created family life in Terrey Hills, NSW.
I started animal painting in 2015 while I was pregnant with my first child and these first paintings are still up in my children’s rooms and from these I have made prints available to buy in print and online. I now paint mainly commissioned art which is extremely rewarding and I love it. I still live in Sydney’s north and work from home so I can be with with my young children. My art provides for my family which I love and I hope you love it too.
