I am endlessly fascinated by the way the colours of nature change, depending on the weather, time of day, or in this case the colour of the sand beneath the water and the sky above, the transparency of the shallow water in contrast to the hidden depths

I grew up in Yorkshire, England, and now call Australia home.

I am an intuitive painter and my work is influenced by my love of nature and particularly the ocean.

When I start my paintings, there is no plan or intention, I have no idea, or plan of how the painting will end up. This gives me such a sense of peace and freedom.

I trust my intuition to guide me as the painting evolves, I allow room for spontaneous expressive marks and let the painting speak to me, as the layers build and the feeling of the painting unfolds.

I give myself creative permission and release any attachment to judgement. I try to allow the mystery in and see what happens!
