The rolling, golden hills of the countryside and the old red farm ute, takes us back to the classic nursery rhyme, Old MacDonald Had a Farm and sets the scene as the opening spread for one of my most successful books yet. With a uniquely Australian twist of a kookaburra (which multiplies with each spread), I ended up painting approximately 65 kookaburras in total. This particular kookaburra was named 'Kookie' and was different because of his uniquely purple wing feathers.
The original illustration was created in acrylic for the best selling, award winning children's book 'Old MacDonald Had a Farm', published by Hachette Australia.
The image size is 48.5cm wide x 20cm high, surrounded by an additional 5cm border on each side. This allows plenty of room for your framer to add a matt and complimenting frame of your choice. So rich in colour, this print would be an absolute delight in a child's room or to bring a feeling of country in to the home.
