Artwork Description

An expressive abstract landscape inspired by the shifting colour and light of the Australian landscape, this piece captures the moment where warmth lingers across the horizon and the land softens into layered tones.

Built through gestural brushwork and evolving colour fields, the painting moves between structure and spontaneity — allowing the viewer to find their own interpretation of place, memory, and atmosphere. Hints of ochre, blush, sky blue and soft neutrals create depth and movement, echoing the feeling of open space and distance.

Designed as a statement piece, the scale invites it to anchor a room — equally suited to contemporary, coastal, or relaxed interior spaces.

Painted in acrylic on stretched canvas and wired at the back, the artwork is ready to hang and enjoy.

Artist Bio

Marc is an Australian artist based in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales.

Drawing inspiration from the shifting light, textures, and natural rhythms of Australian landscapes, his work explores place through expressive mark-making and layered colour.

Painting has been a lifelong creative outlet, shaped by a family tradition passed down through his mother and grandmother. This early exposure fostered a deep appreciation for art as both a form of storytelling and a way of observing the world with care and intention.

Working primarily with acrylics, he approaches each piece intuitively, allowing movement and emotion to guide the composition. His paintings reflect a quiet connection to landscape — less about exact representation and more about atmosphere, memory, and feeling.
