Underwater male nude

The model floats on the water, but some parts go under, leading to a beautiful change in his form from the refraction of light and bluer hues underwater.
I was inspired by a photo I found online: the beauty of the model, the rippling water and the way colours and forms shift from over to under water enticed me to paint this in oil.

Figurative artist- love the human body and portraiture. I love bright colours and the way natural light casts a glow on people. Inspiration in artistic practice is hard to put into words- I know it when I see it and there is not enough time in the world to paint or portray all the beauty and personality of individuals.
