Artwork Description

2020 has been tough all round. We live in an era of risk, intense turbulence and instability. As this uncertainty poses tremendous challenges for our life, we need to act positively at a time of great challenge for our nation and the world. Life casts challenges that eventually end with illuminating light to resolve crisis. The journey of our life is not linear, we must have to explore the path that lead us to overcome difficulties during the process of transition.

In my art practice, as an Australian versatile artist of portrait, abstract, light art and digital art, I show a considerable versatility in my work that embraces a variety of subjects, mediums and techniques. I have created my artwork in a contemporary digital painting, directly on the computer, which enabled me to bridge between traditional and digital painting. My work highlights the theme of universal human experiences in a phenomenological manner where I emphasize the power of human mind in facing challenges today. My artwork has a purpose of reflecting a path of self-knowledge towards consciousness, resilience and positive change. The work’s implication of philosophical and theoretical meanings is based on spirituality and phenomenology. I draw my inspiration from various sources of coolers, portraits, humanity, philosophy, peace and spirituality.

The figurative work in the image reflects my soul as an Australian universal woman. Through a process of transition and introspection, I get stumbled in my life journey swirling in the sphere of infinity where I become a deep lucid dreamer and self-reflective. I gain a new knowledge of my state of consciousness and on my ability to act within my soul. The vibrant bright colors add joy to my soul, the lotus flowers fills my light, it has a divine meaning that associated with spiritual ascension, its daily resurrection is symbolic of revival, creation and rebirth with refusal to accept defeat. The picture of the globe on the woman’s bust with olive branch, the opera house drawn in the middle of the globe, the dove whispering peace to the lotus flower… all these are reflected in my imagination that I become lucid floating around in the world. My mind becomes infused with energetic light empowering me with dynamic wisdom to enlighten my path during the stages of my transition leading me to the final change of resolution. It becomes poetic where something extraordinary is experienced. Through spiraling body and soul that lose all sense of self and experience pure self-awareness of healing and a complete total transformation in body, mind and soul. I visualize the bright light leading the path, I hear the voice of resilience resonate inside my spirit. I endure because it touches the inner depth of me that is suffering, knowing our difficulties, adversities and crisis are not overcome by luck, but by our own efforts, sweat and tears.

The purpose of my art is to reflect on the power of resilience in facing universal challenges that require distal thinking towards advancing humanity and reshaping reality.
