Artwork Description
Walking through the blue city of Jodhpur is like walking underwater. This door is from that city. Doors are the portals between worlds in both a literal and metaphorical sense. Aesthetically, they have a character and beauty about them, and a “wear and tear”, which can communicate a lot of information about the life of them and the people who pass through them. They can also be metaphors for transition and for the choices we make, for moving from one state to another, and for the potential that lies beyond the threshold if we dare to step through.
