This Abstract expressionist artwork was created using my own action painting technique of laying down colours and then using my ability to find human formations within the seemingly abstract painting.
The ability to do this is called Paredolia and is quite a common ability. I usually find the figures in my work without trying. I think this is due to interest in Life drawing and the human form. By imploring this technique I allow the paint to tell me a story and together the images and story unfold.
Gatherings: Humans gathering and connecting from the ground up. It's primal and natural for us to seek some form of human connection and sense of belonging here on Earth.
With its warm natural palette and loose gestural lines this artwork would enhance any room adding visual interest as well as being a thought provoking conversation piece .
