Maria migrated to Australia 30 years ago. She is a Polish descendant with engineering qualifications and a town planning career. She lives in Launceston and started painting in watercolour almost 10 years ago and now paints mostly in acrylic .
She is inspired by the beauty and perfection of the natural environment, landscapes, animals and flowers. The variety of the subjects reflects of her personal observations while bush walking or visiting gardens. On occasion she paints animals. Her favorites are brightly colored paintings of flowers in natural light. Using intuition and exploration she's searching for the best ways to show the world through optimistic eyes.
She is a member of the Launceston Art Society and exhibits her work in their regular exhibitions.
