Rosie is a rose crowned fruit dove with an adventurous spirit – throwing caution to the wind and flying free on a spontanious journey to a new place.

Maria's Freedom series is all about energy, movement and freedom.

“My aim is to capture the sense of joy that I imagine birds have when they are flying high above us. On the ground, they often appear fearful, making short, quick movements and always on the lookout for any danger. In contrast, in the sky, they are free and in control, with no predators or boundaries. How wonderful must that be!”

This original, one of a kind artwork is painted on canvas with acrylic and oil paints. Unframed with wrap around painted sides, it is ready to hang or you can choose to have it framed.

Please note: the orange line is painted in fluro orange which doesn’t show up very well in the photos, check the last photo for a still from a process video, this gives a better indication of the brightness of the ink.
