Artist Biography
Maria Velana MA is a professional collectable artist based in Brisbane, QLD.
She creates abstract acrylic artworks inspired by the diverse and spectacular scenery of Australian landscapes.
Surrounded by vibrant rain forests and the spectacular shores of Queensland, she draws her inspiration from the natural beauty around her.
Maria started painting at an early age, and after taking inspiring private lessons from world-renowned artists, she continued her education in art school where she explored various painting techniques and studied art history. She gained a master's degree as a teacher of visual arts, design and draughtsmanship.
Since then, her unique artworks are finding their home in private collections around the world.
Maria's paintings are created to transform living space into a visually pleasing and enjoyable environment.
She creates her artwork using high quality environmentally friendly non-toxic professional acrylic paints and protects her artwork with a solid coat of high-end glossy varnish.
With her current focus on teaching, Maria produces only a limited number of artworks. She is a collectable artist.
