Utilising acrylics, my distinctive hard edge painting style incorporates vibrant colour, bold composition and includes elements of both figuration and abstraction. Influences include Post Impressionism; the simplicity and bold design of Japanese woodcuts; the organic, flowing line of Art Nouveau and the urban landscapes of Australian artist Jeffrey Smart. My subject matter includes portraits, sea/land and cityscapes. Recent work primarily focuses on iconic Melbourne landmarks.
