This painting was inspired by the simplicity of nature and the realization that loss and grief can be eased by our surrounding and itโs beauty if we take notice of it.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
My name is Marie-Ange Kewin. I am a mum of 2 teenagers. (Not easy!) One girl and one boy.....and boy are they different! (still not easy!) They are my best friends, along with my amazing husband who works very hard for our family. I am very grateful and blessed. I was born in Mauritius and immigrated to Australia in 1978 . That's why I have a french name but I look asian mix! (Chinese, Indian, African and a bit of french somewhere) Art was never something I imagined doing and enjoying. As a child, I mostly studied Maths and Science. However, since starting this journey as an artist a few years ago, I do remember actually being good at art as a subject. I began exploring painting when I was pregnant with my second child. I had no idea what I was doing and no knowledge of anything artistic, but I created a beautiful oil painting with my 5 year old daughter at the time. I only use acrylics now as I find oil a difficult medium, but when I wasn't aware, I created something beautiful and memorable . Until this day, I'm still unsure how that happened. I discovered a love to paint 12 years ago, but time is my enemy. I work part time in Payroll/Office administration , so painting is my happy place and "me"time. My outlet and escape from the daily hustle and bustle. I am a self taught abstract artist who is inspired by my surroundings, emotions and life experiences. My paintings always depict the mood I am in at the time of creation. I am very instinctive and free flowing with my paintings which enables me to continually explore and grow. If you know me, I love colour and I always need to keep myself from boredom so DIVERSITY is ME! Therefore, my style constantly changes and will surprise.....even me! (in a good way....most of the time. I simply wish for my paintings to connect with my audience and tell their story.
