Firefighters hold a special place in the heart of Australians. Bush fires every year with the ' firies'working round the clock, exhausted but never giving up. This painting is of the first State Fire Brigades. There was great excitement when they got hold of a water cart as often that was the only supply to fight fires. And the shining brass helmets are remembered so well. So - this is an' honour ' painting remembering the spirit of Australia.

For provenance, each painting sold from the exhibition includes a glossy full colour printed in Australia magazine plus the exhibition catalogue.
