Backcountry landscape

In this semi-abstract piece I have brought together my experience of being in the wilderness landscape. By layering tissue papers and working over an ink wash background I have depicted the ruggered mountains, rising above crisp clean water lined with large craggy rocks.
This large piece will enhance any home living space or office, as the details in the textures and mark making reveal themselves overtime.

As a mixed media artist, I embrace the challenge of working with a range of mediums, often incorporating discarded and reimaged papers. My creative process embraces the unknown of random mark-making and layering, drawing from my background in ceramics and fashion design.
