This painting was started before we went to live in Bali for two months and then finished when I came back in my studio here in Brisbane. It was a little strange to get back into it again as I did quite a few paintings while over in Bali and so my mood was set in a totally different way. The canvas is made of 💯 % recycled bottles and sustainable and of archival quality as well. So I like to continue on either this material or recycled paper or linen as that doesn’t need as much water and chemicals as cotton which is terrible for the environment. Linen of course is very expensive.

The concept is all about the environment and how we flourish in a congenial looked after natural environment which we are about to destroy of course. Not only for ourselves but for the earth and everything with it. Things will start flourishing again after we humans have disappeared no worries the earth will recover for sure which is great. So anyway these are some thoughts while I’m working on this big canvas which will be finished soon.
