Born and raised in California, I began painting in 1985. I started painting landscapes and then progressed onto still life, flowers, seascapes, and animal landscapes.
While still living in California, I did a three day group workshop with Charles Waldman on how to paint outdoors. I also taught art in schools and had my paintings shown in local galleries and cafes where I won prizes on my paintings.
In 2006, I immigrated to South Australia with my husband and daughter. I began teaching art through private group lessons and started to show my art in the local art gallery.
In 2009, as my passion and interest in painting continued to evolve, I progressed onto human and animal portraits. I also began attending weekly art clubs in the northern suburbs of Adelaide.
Presently I still enjoy painting human and animal portraits and am taking on art commissions. My biggest inspiration and sense of success is if I can capture a person’s personality, trait, or quirk.
My art studio is located in the sunny country town of Gawler, South Australia 5118.
