My painting gives a joyous nod to the 70's when we decorated old Edwardian houses with long drops of velvet, macrame wall hangings, Japanese screens and white paper lanterns dropping from the high ceilings. We bought 2nd hand furniture and had a go at re-upholstering.
I've chosen a calming palette of colours to welcome you into this room. Please feel free to snuggle up to the cat, relax and enjoy.

Artist Bio
Thank you for visiting my page. Painting is central to my life and happiness, and I hope you will sense an expression of joy in my work.
I paint in both oils and acrylics, choosing whatever style I feel is right for my subject, sometimes in a traditional representative manner, sometimes impressionistic, sometimes abstract. Recently I have enjoyed painting large highly detailed floral paintings, bold landscape abstracts and also impressionistic miniature gum blossoms and flowers from my garden.
I have painted all my life, although until recently, my output was small, due to my teaching career and raising a family. Now retired, I paint from my own small studio and also regularly with a group of friends. My paintings are held in private collections in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada.
In 2013, I was honoured with the Order of Australia medal for services to the education of deaf children. It is lovely now, as an older woman, to have the opportunity to give back to my community as a volunteer in a program that supports parents of deaf babies and toddlers.
