I was inspired to create this painting after a lovely walk under the Banyans by the Canning River at Deepwater Point in Mount Pleasant, Western Australia. I loved the shadows cast on the ground by the trees and decided I wanted to paint them. After I prepared the canvas with gesso, I added a tinted ground in Yellow Ochre acrylic paint. I then drew the trees and the rest of the picture in pastel pencil. I chose vibrant colours of yellow green, purple and soft yellow to paint the picture. This painting would give a harmonious feel to any room and be a delightful point of interest. It will be securely packed and be ready to hang on the wall when you receive it.
