This painting was created from my photo of Mount Trio whilst on holiday in Albany. I was struck by their grandeur and wanted to paint the scene. I prepared the canvas with Impasto Medium and then layers of gesso tinted with Yellow Ochre. After drawing the main outline I painted the scene in a mixture of Atelier and Matisse professional artist acrylic paints. I used Atelier thick, slow medium and clear painting medium to add body to the paint. The impasto medium gives the painting a textured look. This painting would add a sparkle to any room and take the viewer to the wild country of the Stirlings. It will be packed securely and be ready to hang when you receive it.
