I was inspired to paint this picture from a photo of Waratahs given to me by my friend John. I loved the architectural quality of these flowers and wanted to paint them. I have used Sennelier artist quality paints to sketch and paint the flower heads in a mixture of magenta and a range of pinks. Then I added some dark red stems and a variety of different greens for the leaves. I added a yellow background leaving some of the orange base colour. The painting is framed in a pale coloured timber. When purchased the painting will be securely packed in a cardboard box and will be ready to hang on your wall when it is delivered.
