Artwork Description

- This piece is a portrait of woman keeping warm with her red beret, thinking next to her favourite house plant, with a touch of Picasso and Matisse style, combined with my own. What is she thinking about? I'll let you decide. I used @derivanmatisse structure paint (matisse red light, yellow mid, skin tone light, phthalo blue, titananium white) with a palette knife, which added a thick texture dimension and carbon black flow paint for added contrasting shadows.
- The paint has been applied thickly with a lot of texture.
- A3 size, requires framing (for reference - frame in images is A2 size).
- Signed at the front, titled, signed and dated at the back.
- Certificate of authenticity included.
- Gloss Varnished.

Artist Bio

I’m a mixed media artist, drawing inspiration from the vibrant biodiversity of Australia and the little moments of everyday life. I love to create bold coloured or textured pieces using thick layers of paint, while adding realistic touches with a paintbrush to certain elements. My main materials are acrylics, inks, watercolours, and I often work on archival paper or canvas. Colour experimentation is one of my favourite parts of the process, and I’m always coming up with fresh combinations for each artwork. Living in Victoria, I find endless inspiration from the stunning nature around me, often exploring the flora and fauna of both land and sea with my kids. My ultimate aim is for my art to bring a burst of joy, colour and positivity to anyone who views it.
