Love is in the air in these two stylised paintings forming part of my series called Love Poems. The birds and flowers are abstracted in a contemporary style of multilayered and overlapping shapes of petals, leaves and contrasting foliage. These paintings grows organically as I develop the subject just like a real garden. They come with a white painted external wood frame and all materials are archival. They are varnished with uv protection and have a cold wax finish. Cold wax gives a soft satin appearance to the artwork which eliminates the harsh glare of a varnished surface when a painting is placed in strong light or near windows. Each canvas measures 61x61x4cm. The total framed size of each is 63x63x5cm. A signed Bluethumb Certificate of Authenticity is provided.

I am intrigued how colour from the bright to the subtle, like music, can evoke feelings and memories and I hope the interplay of brushwork and paint can translate these personal feelings to the viewer. My paintings are multilayered with spontaneity to reflect my personal visual language and the joy I feel in the painting process itself. Although abstracted and stylised my paintings are grounded in my personal life experiences and always relate to a place and a story which I hope can in some way touch the viewer. I have a background in the arts and design, and my paintings are held in collections throughout Australia and overseas.
