As an outdoor enthusiast, my work is driven by the energy of being immersed in the wild. I don't just paint what I see. I translate my feeling for the elements into abstract forms. From the vastness of a panoramic vista to the intricate, contorted patterns found on a single leaf or stone, I explore the tension between nature's grand scale and its smallest nuances. My process is a dialogue between memory and observation, using sketchbooks and photography as anchors to recreate the sensory experience of the Victorian landscape.
