My paintings are inspired by the patterns and shapes of the natural world but most of all by colour. I am intrigued how colour from the bright to the subtle, like music, can evoke feelings and memories and I hope the interplay of brushwork and paint can translate these personal feelings to the viewer. 
My paintings are multilayered with spontaneity to reflect my personal visual language and the joy I feel in the painting process itself. Although abstracted and stylised my paintings are grounded in my personal life experiences and always relate to a place and a story which I hope can in some way touch the viewer. 
I have a background in the arts and design, and my paintings are held in collections throughout Australia and overseas.
