Original Artwork's Description

This painting captures a quiet, suspended moment of floating freely in water, seen from above. A solitary figure drifts gently through soft turquoise and emerald tones, surrounded by ripples of light and scattered white blossoms. The composition evokes weightlessness, calm, and a sense of release, as if time has slowed to a single breath.
Expressive brushstrokes and layered colour create movement within the water, while the limited figure allows space for reflection and emotion. The work is inspired by the feeling of surrendering to stillness — moments of peace found in nature, water, and inward quiet.
A serene and atmospheric piece that brings a sense of calm, freedom, and gentle motion into a contemporary interior.

Artist Bio

My name is Marina, and I am an artist currently residing in Melbourne, where I work full-time creating art. Born in Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan, my artistic journey began in childhood. At the age of nine, I enrolled in a specialized art school, where I nurtured my talents and developed a deep connection to the world of creativity.

Over the years, my passion for art has been closely intertwined with my love for travel, both within Australia and abroad. These experiences continually inspire my work and fuel my creativity. I draw much of my inspiration from the everyday beauty of nature — from the delicate forms of flowers and the grace of animals, to the enchanting play of light that shapes our world.

While my primary medium is oil paint, I also enjoy exploring other techniques, including acrylics, watercolors, and more. Each medium offers me a new way to express the depth of my perception and the essence of the subjects I love to depict.
