This is the first in a new series of native flowers and foliage. This native is a Protea and comes from Africa although we see it often in Australian native flower bouquets. The canvas is small and takes in one flower and foliage. This series captures the essence of the flower in a degree of realism but giving one flower the whole canvas making it seem larger than life.
