Since emigrating from the Adriatic island of Korcula in Croatia‚ my interest has been in making connections between the psychology and geography of far away places‚ visited or lived in. My work themes depict the experience of remembering a place‚ mainly seascapes of the Mediterranean and also the bays around Sydney harbour‚ which I first sailed into as a little girl back many years ago. I mostly paint oil on canvas or linen. I am fascinated by the way that light can alter our moods and sense of reality
