Australian Artist Marium calls her work “Disordered beauty” in reference to the strange complexity and beauty our nature beholds around us. She creates pieces that speak about the beauty existing in our natural environment. Landscapes, foliage and flowers that melt into each other in dreamy washes of color, hazy drips and swirls.
Looking at her vibrant work, it isn’t surprising to learn that she has a background in fine arts. After working with paints for a decade, the Artist turned to Calligraphy. With rich colors, bold textures and stunning Islamic verses, her creations look like masterful paintings. Part of this is due to the manipulation that Marium loves using to transform and blend painting with writing to finish her beautifully composed Artworks.
As modern Calligraphy/Visual Artist she interprets styles and brings a contemporary feel to them. She highlights new and fascinating methods of blending stylistically florals with Calligraphy lettering. Her work is an honest response to the gorgeous form and colors that we experience around us. It is uniquely expressive and the resulting images are breathtaking interplays of textures and colors.
